5 AI Agents Everyone Needs
Build five useful AI agent roles for inbox replies, trend research, content, reporting, and business decisions from one free GitHub pack.
5 AI Agents Everyone Needs
Start with five jobs that come up every week: answering messages, spotting useful news, making content, reading the numbers, and thinking through decisions. The free Agency Agents GitHub pack has a starter file for each one.
You can use one role at a time. Give it the information for that job, read its work, and keep the final decision with you.
What this helps you do
Pick a useful first team of AI helpers without building five automations at once. Each role below has the original agent file, a simple first task, and a prompt you can copy into an AI assistant.
Before you start
- An AI assistant where you can paste instructions and attach or paste your own material. To install the full role files, you also need a supported tool such as Claude Code, Codex, or Cursor. Agency Agents lists its current install targets.
- One sample customer message, three relevant links for your niche, an approved content idea, a weekly sales or traffic export, and a decision you want to think through. You can start with only the material for one role.
- Remove private customer details from test examples. Connect real accounts only after you understand the access you are granting.
Terms to know
- Agent: an AI assistant given a specific job and instructions. A role file alone does not give it access to your apps.
- Connection: permission for the assistant to use another app, such as email or analytics. You add this separately when you need it.
- Export: a file you download from an app, such as a weekly sales CSV, and give to the assistant to analyze.
Step-by-step
- Open the Agency Agents repository. The five links below take you straight to the role files. Read the file for the job you want first.
- Easy start: copy that role's short prompt from this page into your AI assistant and fill in the bracketed parts. Add one real message, link, idea, report, or decision. This lets you try the job without installing anything.
- Install the full Agency Agents role: if you use Claude Code, Codex, or another supported coding assistant, download the Agency Agents app from its GitHub release page. In the app, open Agents, find the role by the name shown below, inspect it, choose your tool, and install it. The Tools panel shows where the role was installed. The app puts the instructions into your AI tool. You still give it the job to do.
- Open your AI tool and give the installed role a specific job. For example: “Use Support Responder to draft a reply to this customer message using this account information and refund policy.” Add the actual material. The Agency Agents playbook recommends starting with one agent and one task before building a team.
- Review the output against your source material. For an inbox draft, check the customer's actual account and your policy. For a trend, open the original link. For a report, compare its numbers with the export. Save the instructions that worked, then move to the next role.

Each block is a starter instruction for one agent. Paste it into your AI assistant with the bracketed parts filled in, or open the linked Agency Agents file for the longer version.
1. Inbox agent
The pack calls this Support Responder. Give it a customer message, the relevant order or account details, and your policy. It sorts the issue and drafts a reply for you to approve.
Copy this
You are my inbox assistant. Read the customer message, the account facts, and the policy I provide. Tell me what the customer needs, draft a short and helpful reply, and list any fact I need to check before I send it. Do not send the message or promise a refund, credit, or account change.
Customer message: [paste]
Account facts: [paste only what is needed]
Policy: [paste]2. Trend scout
The Trend Researcher looks for relevant changes. Give it your niche and a short source list. Ask for fresh topics with direct links, dates, and an explanation of why each topic matters to your audience.
Copy this
You are my trend scout. Find five recent developments about [topic] from these sources: [links]. For each one, give the original link, publication date, what changed, and one useful question my audience would ask. Separate an official announcement from other people's reactions. Do not call a topic viral unless you have engagement data for it.3. Content agent
The Content Creator turns one approved idea into drafts for different formats. Give it the idea, the audience, and writing samples so it has something concrete to follow.
Copy this
You are my content assistant. Use this approved idea: [idea]. My audience is [audience]. Here are two examples of my writing: [paste]. Draft one short video outline, one social post, and one email. Keep the same facts across all three, but write each for its own format. Flag any claim that needs a source before publishing.4. Numbers agent
The Analytics Reporter helps you see what changed. Upload two weekly exports, or paste the key figures from both weeks. Ask it to calculate the differences and point to the rows behind its answer.
Copy this
You are my reporting assistant. Compare these two weekly exports: [attach or paste]. Show the biggest changes in sales, traffic, and conversion, using only columns present in the files. Include the before and after number for every claim. Tell me which change is worth investigating first and what data you would check next.5. Decision sparring partner
The pack's Business Strategist is a useful starting point for pressure-testing a plan. Give it a real decision, your goal, and your constraints. Have it ask what would change your mind.
Copy this
You are my decision sparring partner. I'm deciding whether to [decision]. My goal is [goal], and my limits are [time, budget, or other constraints]. Make the strongest case for and against this choice. Ask me the three questions that would change the recommendation. Then propose one small test I could run before committing.Things to know
The GitHub pack provides role instructions. It does not automatically connect to your inbox, social accounts, or sales data. The prompts above work with information you paste or upload. A background agent that checks accounts on a schedule needs separate connections, permissions, and testing.
If you buy ads, the pack also has a Paid Social Strategist. Swap it for the role you need least. Start by asking it to review an exported ad report and draft changes for approval.
If something goes wrong
- The answer sounds generic: give the agent a real message, file, link, or writing sample. A job title alone is not enough context.
- The report invents a metric: ask it to name the exact column and rows it used. Remove claims it cannot trace to your export.
- The trend has no source link: ask for the original announcement. If it cannot provide one, leave that item out.
- The agent tries to take an action you did not request: stop the run and review the permissions in your AI tool before connecting an account.
Final check
Pick one role. Give it one real input. You should receive a useful draft, source-linked research item, calculated report, or decision test that you can check against the material you supplied. Then save that role's instructions for the next time the job comes up.
